8.8 If item 8.7 is less than 2 quarters, please provide answers to the following questions:
8.8.1 Does the entity expect that it will continue to have the current level of net operating
cash flows for the time being and, if not, why not?
Answer: No, The net operating cash outflows reported for the September 2026 quarter
included significant one-off and non-recurring payments associated with the Company's
transition to care and maintenance and settlement of historical obligations. These payments
totalled approximately $10.1 million and included:
• $6.1 million relating to the settlement of legacy creditors and accruals, open pit
closure costs and redundancy payments;
• $1.2 million of prior-period creditor payments for property, plant and equipment; and
• $2.8 million relating to resource development expenditure associated with the
underground operation.
As at 30 September 2026, the Company held cash and cash equivalents of approximately
$14.54 million. With the majority of transition-related costs and legacy creditor balances now
settled, the Company expects future cash outflows to be materially lower than those reported
for the September 2026 quarter.
8.8.2 Has the entity taken any steps, or does it propose to take any steps, to raise further
cash to fund its operations and, if so, what are those steps and how likely does it
believe that they will be successful?
Answer: The Company does not currently require additional funding to support its operations
and had cash and cash equivalents of approximately $14.5 million as at 30 September 2026.
The Company continues to actively manage its liquidity and reduce liabilities following the
transition to care and maintenance.
As part of this strategy, the Company sold an underground truck subsequent to quarter end,
reducing outstanding finance lease and loan commitments by approximately $1.33 million.
The Company will continue to assess opportunities to optimise its asset portfolio, reduce
operating costs and strengthen its balance sheet.
8.8.3 Does the entity expect to be able to continue its operations and to meet its business
objectives and, if so, on what basis?
Answer: Yes. The Company expects to be able to continue its operations and meet its
business objectives based on its cash and cash equivalents of approximately $14.5 million
as at 30 September 2026 and the significant reduction in expected future cash outflows
following the settlement of one-off transition, closure and creditor costs. The Company
continues to actively manage its cost base and liabilities and believes it has sufficient
funding to support its planned activities and meet its obligations as they fall due.
Note: where item 8.7 is less than 2 quarters, all of questions 8.8.1, 8.8.2 and 8.8.3 above must be answered.
